🔧 Pre-Installation Preparation

• Ensure the engine is turned off and cooled to room temperature.
• Prepare a socket wrench, torque wrench, clean rags, and a drain pan.
• Have a new O-ring (35 x 3.5mm) ready for simultaneous replacement.
• It is recommended to have fresh engine oil ready for refilling after installation.

🔄 Step 1: Remove the Old Oil Strainer Cover

• Place the vehicle on level ground. Remove the drain plug and drain the old oil into the pan.
• Locate the oil strainer cover on the engine (usually on the side or bottom).
• Using the appropriate socket wrench, turn the old cover counterclockwise to remove it.
• Carefully remove the old cover, noting that residual oil may be present.
• Remove the old O-ring and thoroughly clean the mounting threads and sealing surface with a clean rag.
• Inspect the mounting threads for damage or debris and clean if necessary.

🧽 Step 2: Install the New Oil Strainer Cover

• Remove the new cover (01A0-012002-0080) from its packaging and check for any damage or thread defects.
• Install the new O-ring (35 x 3.5mm) into the cover's sealing groove, ensuring it is not twisted.
• Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-ring to enhance sealing.
• Align the new cover with the mounting base and hand-tighten to ensure proper thread alignment.
• Use a torque wrench to tighten to factory specifications (refer to your vehicle's service manual, typically around 20-25 N·m).
• Do not overtighten, as this may damage the threads or O-ring.

✅ Step 3: Post-Installation Check

• Tighten the drain plug and refill with the recommended amount of fresh engine oil.
• Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes. Inspect around the cover for any leaks.
• Turn off the engine, wait a moment, and check the oil level on the dipstick. Top up if necessary.
• Record the mileage and date of this service for future maintenance reference.

• It is recommended to replace the O-ring whenever the cover is removed to ensure proper sealing.
• Always clean the threads and sealing surface before installation to ensure no debris remains.
• Hand-tighten first to ensure proper thread alignment and avoid cross-threading.
