This internal oil filter element fits V-Twin UTVs from the following brands:

🔧 Pre-Installation Preparation

• Ensure the vehicle is turned off and cooled down; the engine should be at room temperature.
• Prepare the appropriate wrench (for removing the filter cap), an oil catch pan, clean cloth, and fresh engine oil.
• Inspect the new filter element for any damage or deformation.
• Confirm the new filter part number is 15200-010-0000.

🔄 Removing the Old Filter Element

• Locate the oil filter cap (usually on the engine side, a cover secured with multiple bolts).
• Place the oil catch pan beneath the filter cap to collect any residual oil.
• Using the appropriate wrench, loosen the filter cap bolts in a diagonal pattern and carefully remove the cap.
• Remove the old filter element from inside the cap, noting its condition (clogged, deformed, etc.).
• Clean the inside of the filter cap and the mounting surface to ensure no old seal residue or debris remains.

🔩 Installing the New Filter Element

• Apply a thin, even coat of clean engine oil to the sealing ring surface of the new filter element (aids installation and prevents initial dry run).
• Align the new filter element (part number 15200-010-0000) with the mounting position inside the filter cap.
• Push the filter element into the mounting seat in the correct orientation, ensuring it is fully seated and flush with the mounting surface.
• Pay attention to the filter installation direction — there are usually locating marks or anti-error features to ensure the inlet/outlet ports are correctly aligned.
• Align the filter cap with the mounting position and push it in carefully, taking care not to dislodge or pinch the O-ring.
• Tighten the filter cap bolts in a diagonal pattern to the torque specified in the service manual (do not over-tighten).

✅ Post-Installation Check

• Add fresh engine oil to the recommended level.
• Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes; check for any oil leaks around the filter cap.
• Turn off the engine and wait 1-2 minutes, then check the oil level and top up if necessary.
• It is recommended to note the installation date and mileage for future maintenance reference.

💡 Maintenance Tip

It is recommended to replace the engine oil and internal oil filter element every 3,000–5,000 km or every 50–100 hours (whichever comes first). In severe operating conditions (dusty, heavy loads), shorten the replacement interval. Always replace the internal filter element with every oil change to ensure optimal lubrication system performance.
