🔧 Starter Relay Testing Procedure

● Put DC 12V between positive and negative terminal. Use multimeter to check if there is continuity between 2 contacts.

● If multimeter clicks, there is continuity between contacts.

● If DC 12V is removed, no continuity remains between contacts.

● If both above 2 items are ok, it indicates the relay is good. Turn multimeter to DIODE mode.

⚠️ CAUTION: The voltage loaded between terminals cannot exceed 1 minutes, otherwise, starter relay may overheat or burn.

● Use multimeter to measure starter relay coil resistance, if the reading is out of specification, replace a new one.

● Turn multimeter to 1×10Ω range.
