🔧 SEGWAY Front Brake Sintered Pad
📦 Part Number: A03E11120001
🛑 Sintered Metal Compound · High Friction Coefficient
📍 Position: Front Axle (Left & Right Wheel)
✅ Superior Heat Dissipation · Long Pad Life · OEM Fitment
This product is a front brake pad set for SEGWAY vehicles, manufactured using sintered metal compound technology. Part number A03E11120001. Sintered pads are created by fusing metallic particles under high pressure and temperature, resulting in a dense, high-performance friction material. Compared to organic or semi-metallic pads, sintered pads provide superior stopping power, excellent heat dissipation, and consistent brake feel even under extreme conditions (mud, water, repeated heavy braking).
Designed as a direct replacement for the original front brake pads on compatible SEGWAY models.
✅ OEM Quality Assurance: Precision-engineered to match original brake pad dimensions (backing plate shape, pin holes, wear indicator slots). Backing plate made from high-grade steel to prevent deformation under high heat.
This front sintered brake pad set (A03E11120001) directly replaces the original front pads on the following SEGWAY models. Covers T3b, E5, ABS and non-ABS variants:
- SEGWAY Snarler AT6 L ABS T3b
- SEGWAY AT10L ABS
- SEGWAY AT10L
- SEGWAY AT10WL ABS
- SEGWAY AT10WL
- SEGWAY Snarler AT6 L E5
- SEGWAY Snarler AT6 S T3b, SEGWAY Snarler AT6 L T3b, SEGWAY Snarler AT6 S E5
- SEGWAY Snarler AT6 S T3b, SEGWAY Snarler AT6 L T3b, SEGWAY Snarler AT6 S E5, SEGWAY Snarler AT6 L E5
📌 Fitment Note: These front pads are compatible with both ABS and non-ABS versions of the listed models. The sintered compound is particularly recommended for vehicles used in demanding conditions (hilly terrain, mud, heavy loads, or sporty riding). If your specific SEGWAY model is not listed but shares the same front caliper design (twin-piston sliding caliper, common on 400cc–1000cc SEGWAY ATVs), these pads will likely fit. Contact customer service with your VIN for confirmation.
- ✅ OEM Direct Fit: Backing plate shape, pin holes, and pad thickness match original SEGWAY front pads exactly. No modification required.
- 🛑 High Friction Coefficient (HH Rating): Provides strong, consistent braking force from cold to extreme temperatures. Excellent initial bite.
- 🔥 Superior Heat Dissipation: Metal matrix quickly transfers heat away from the rotor and pad surface, reducing brake fade during prolonged downhill or repeated hard stops.
- 💧 All-Weather Performance: Sintered pads are highly resistant to water and mud. Braking performance remains stable even when pads are wet or contaminated.
- ⏱️ Long Pad Life: Dense sintered material wears slower than organic or semi-metallic pads, especially in abrasive off-road conditions.
- 🔧 Gentle on Rotors: Properly formulated sintered compound provides excellent stopping power without excessive disc wear (unlike cheap sintered pads that eat rotors).
- 📢 Integrated Wear Indicator: Audible squealer tab alerts rider when pad thickness reaches minimum safe level.
• Squealing or grinding noise when applying front brake (wear indicator or metal-to-metal contact).
• Reduced braking power or spongy lever feel (after bleeding brakes).
• Visible pad thickness less than 2–3 mm (approximately thickness of a US dime / UK 5p coin).
• Brake lever pulsation or vibration (uneven pad wear or warped rotor — inspect both).
• Dark, glazed appearance on pad surface (caused by overheating, reduces friction).
Replace front pads immediately if any of these conditions appear. Worn pads compromise safety and can damage brake rotors (expensive to replace).
Organic (resin) pads are quieter and softer but wear very quickly on heavy ATVs/UTVs, especially in mud or hilly terrain. Sintered pads provide superior stopping power, last 2–3x longer, and resist brake fade. The only minor downside: sintered pads may produce slightly more brake dust and can be slightly noisier when cold. For SEGWAY ATVs (which are often used off-road or for utility work), sintered pads are the strongly recommended choice. If you use your vehicle only on pavement with light loads, organic pads are an alternative, but this listing is for the high-performance sintered version.
1. Always replace pads in sets (both front wheels). Never replace only one side.
2. Clean brake caliper piston(s) and slide pins with brake cleaner before retracting pistons.
3. Use a proper brake piston tool or large pliers to slowly compress pistons back into the caliper. Monitor brake fluid reservoir level to avoid overflow.
4. Apply a thin layer of high-temperature brake grease to the back of pads and to slide pin contact points (avoid getting grease on friction material or rotor).
5. After installation, pump the brake lever several times until firm pressure returns before riding.
6. Bed-in new pads: perform 20–30 gentle stops from moderate speed to transfer an even layer of friction material onto the rotors. Avoid hard stops or prolonged dragging for the first 100 km.
Professional installation recommended if you are not experienced with brake systems.
🔹 Safety First: Properly functioning front brakes are critical for rider safety. If you experience any unusual noise, vibration, or reduced braking after installation, inspect immediately. When in doubt, consult a qualified mechanic. 🔹
