🔧 Pre-Installation Preparation

🔄 Step 1: Remove the Old Oil Filter

• Place the vehicle on level ground. Remove the drain plug and drain the old oil into the pan.
• Use an oil filter wrench to turn the old filter counterclockwise and remove it.
• Wipe the mounting surface clean with a rag, ensuring no debris or old seal ring residue remains.
• ⚠️ Caution: The old filter may contain residual oil — have a rag ready to catch drips.

• Remove the new oil filter from its packaging and check that the sealing ring is intact and properly seated.
