WH 125cc Oil Filter Cap
🔧 Oil Filter Cap · Oil Strainer Cover · Oil Filter Housing · Engine Seal Component
For WH 125cc / 150cc Air-Cooled Engines · GY6 Series · QJ153QMI / 152QMI
This is the WH Oil Filter Cap, a critical sealing component of the lubrication system for WH 125cc/150cc air-cooled engines. This cover is mounted on the oil filter cavity on the right side or bottom of the engine, sealing the oil filter or oil strainer to ensure proper oil circulation system integrity.
The oil filter cap is typically equipped with a sealing gasket (O-ring) to prevent oil leakage. Over time, due to high-temperature aging, damage from removal, or accidental impact, the filter cap may become deformed, cracked, or develop sealing issues, resulting in oil leaks. This product is manufactured from high-quality aluminum alloy to OEM specifications, making it the ideal replacement for damaged original parts.
✨ Core Functions: Seal oil filter cavity · Prevent oil leakage · Protect filter element · Maintain oil pressure · Ensure proper engine lubrication system operation
💧 Common Symptoms
• Visible oil leakage around the oil filter cap
• Oil stains on engine bottom or side
• Oil spots on ground after parking
• Abnormally increased oil consumption
• Oil pressure warning light illuminated (if equipped)
• Increased oil leakage when engine is running
🔍 Failure Causes
• Material aging and deformation from prolonged high-temperature use
• Cracks or damage from improper removal force
• Aged sealing gasket that was not replaced
• Excessive installation torque causing thread damage or cap deformation
• Accidental impact or collision causing breakage
⚠️ Important Note: Oil leakage not only wastes oil and causes environmental pollution but may also lead to insufficient oil levels, resulting in poor lubrication, overheating, or even serious engine damage such as cylinder scoring. If you notice oil leaking from the oil filter cap, inspect and replace it promptly.

💡 Installation Note: When replacing the oil filter cap, it is recommended to also replace the accompanying sealing ring (O-ring) to ensure optimal sealing performance. Tighten to the specified torque during installation to avoid deformation or damage from over-tightening.
- OEM Specification: Manufactured to exact GY6 engine factory specifications for perfect fitment with original mounting position and dimensions.
- High-Quality Material: Made from high-strength aluminum alloy for robust construction and excellent aging resistance.
- Precision Machining: Sealing surfaces and threads are precision-machined to ensure tight fit with the filter cavity.
- Oil and Heat Resistant: Material offers excellent resistance to oil corrosion and high temperatures, suitable for engine operating conditions.
- Solves Oil Leaks: Direct replacement for damaged original filter caps, completely resolving oil leakage issues.
- Cost-Effective: Restore sealing performance by replacing only the cap rather than the entire filter assembly — excellent value.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Park the vehicle on level ground and allow the engine to cool completely before starting.
2. Place an oil drain pan under the filter cap to catch any residual oil.
3. Use appropriate tools to remove the old filter cap bolts or nuts and take off the old cap.
4. Inspect the filter cavity sealing surface for smoothness and remove any old seal residue and contaminants.
5. Install a new O-ring in the sealing groove of the new filter cap (replacement recommended).
6. Apply a small amount of oil to the seal ring to aid installation and enhance sealing.
7. Align the new filter cap with the mounting position and thread in by hand to avoid cross-threading.
8. Use a torque wrench to tighten to factory specifications (typically 10-15 N·m — do not over-tighten).
9. Start the engine and check for oil leaks; re-tighten if necessary.
Important Note: Do not apply excessive torque during installation, as this may damage threads or deform the cap. It is recommended to replace the sealing ring simultaneously to ensure optimal sealing performance.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify your engine model and filter cap specifications to ensure compatibility.
Seal Ring Note: Please check the condition of your seal ring during installation and replace it for optimal sealing performance.
Installation Caution: Tighten to the specified torque during installation. Over-tightening may damage threads or deform the cap, while under-tightening may cause oil leaks. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
