WH 125cc / 150cc Valve Oil Seal
🔧 Valve Oil Seal · Valve Stem Seal · Engine Seal · Oil Burning Repair Part
For WH125cc/150cc Engines · GY6 Series · QJ153QMI / 152QMI
This is the WH High-Quality Valve Oil Seal, specifically designed for 125cc/150cc scooter engines. The valve oil seal is a critical sealing component in the engine valve train, installed at the top of the valve guide and fitted around the valve stem to control the amount of oil entering the combustion chamber.
The primary function of the valve oil seal is to prevent engine oil from seeping down the valve stem into the combustion chamber, while allowing a small amount of oil to lubricate the friction surfaces between the valve stem and guide. When the valve oil seal becomes aged, hardened, or damaged, oil can enter the combustion chamber through the valve stem clearance, resulting in oil burning.
✨ Core Functions: Control oil entry into combustion chamber · Prevent oil burning · Reduce carbon buildup · Protect valve guide · Maintain normal engine operation
💨 Common Symptoms
• White or blue smoke from exhaust pipe (most common symptom)
• Noticeably increased oil consumption
• Heavy smoke on cold start, reduces as engine warms up
• Excessive carbon buildup on spark plug, electrode appears wet
• Rough idle, poor acceleration
• Burnt oil smell from exhaust
🔍 Failure Causes
• Rubber aging and hardening from prolonged high-temperature operation
• Low-quality oil or extended oil change intervals accelerate seal degradation
• Improper installation causing lip damage
• Valve stem wear leading to poor sealing
• High mileage with natural wear and aging
⚠️ Key Indicator: If you notice white or bluish-white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe along with abnormally high oil consumption, there is a high probability that the valve oil seal is damaged. Replacing the valve oil seal promptly will prevent excessive oil consumption, reduce carbon buildup, restore engine performance, and extend catalytic converter life.

💡 Replacement Note: Valve oil seals are wear-and-tear components that typically may show signs of aging after 30,000-50,000 km (18,000-31,000 miles) of operation. It is recommended to replace both intake and exhaust valve oil seals at the same time to ensure consistent sealing performance on both sides.
- High-Temperature Fluorocarbon Rubber (FKM): Manufactured from premium FKM material with temperature resistance up to 200°C (392°F), excellent aging resistance, and long service life.
- Precision-Molded Lip: The seal lip is precision-molded for a tight fit around the valve stem, effectively preventing oil leakage.
- Integrated Garter Spring: Features a high-quality internal spring that maintains consistent sealing pressure and compensates for wear.
- OEM Specification: Manufactured to exact GY6 engine factory specifications for a perfect replacement of worn original seals.
- Eliminates Oil Burning: Effectively resolves white/blue smoke issues caused by damaged valve oil seals and reduces oil consumption.
- Restores Engine Performance: Reduces carbon buildup, improves combustion efficiency, and restores power and fuel economy.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Remove the cylinder head and secure it on a suitable fixture.
2. Use a valve spring compressor tool to remove valve springs and retainers, then extract the valves.
3. Carefully remove the old valve oil seal using a specialized tool or needle-nose pliers, avoiding scratches on the valve guide inner surface.
4. Thoroughly clean the valve guide top mounting surface, ensuring no old seal residue or contaminants remain.
5. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the new seal lip and mounting area for lubrication.
6. Use a dedicated installation sleeve to press the new seal vertically into place, ensuring it seats firmly against the valve guide boss.
7. Reinstall valves, valve springs, and retainers, ensuring retainers are fully seated in the valve stem grooves.
8. Reinstall the cylinder head and related components, add fresh engine oil, start the engine and check for leaks and smoke.
Important Note: Always use specialized tools when installing valve oil seals to prevent lip rolling or damage. It is recommended to replace both intake and exhaust valve oil seals simultaneously. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Failure Diagnosis: If you notice white or bluish-white smoke from the exhaust pipe along with significantly increased oil consumption, the valve oil seal is likely damaged. Please inspect and replace promptly.
Installation Caution: Valve oil seal installation requires specialized tools. Improper installation may cause seal damage or poor sealing. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Consider replacing the cylinder head gasket and other seals when replacing valve oil seals. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
