🔧 Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is completely cooled and disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting.
2. Remove related engine components and either remove the engine from the frame or support it securely.
3. Remove the cylinder head, then remove the old cylinder block and piston assembly.
4. Thoroughly clean the crankcase mating surface, removing old gasket residue and oil contaminants.
5. Inspect the connecting rod for wear; replace if necessary.
6. Install new piston rings into the ring grooves, paying attention to orientation, and stagger ring gaps 120 degrees apart.
7. Insert the piston pin through the piston and connecting rod small end, then install new circlips, ensuring they are fully seated.
8. Install a new cylinder base gasket and position the new cylinder block over the locating dowels.
9. Use a ring compressor to install the piston into the cylinder, install the cylinder head, and tighten bolts in a diagonal pattern in stages to specified torque.
10. Reinstall related components, add fresh engine oil, and start the engine for break-in.
Important Note: Cylinder assembly installation involves critical engine components. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Always use a new cylinder head gasket and tighten bolts to the specified torque.

Proper break-in is essential after installing a new cylinder assembly to achieve optimal piston ring-to-cylinder wall seating:

• Break-In Period: Recommended 500-1000 km (300-600 miles).
• RPM Control: Avoid prolonged high RPM operation during break-in; keep RPM below 70% of maximum.
• Load Control: Avoid hard acceleration, heavy loads, and steep hill climbing during break-in.
• Oil Change: Change oil after the first 300 km (180 miles), and again after the break-in period is complete.
• Oil Quality: Use high-quality mineral oil during break-in; switch to synthetic oil after break-in.
