📌 Compatibility Note: This internal oil filter set fits all CFMoto model series listed above, covering displacements from 400cc to 1000cc. Model suffixes (such as T3a, T3b, HLG, KSR, SS, GD, etc.) mainly represent configuration or regional differences and do not affect the universality of this set. You can confidently purchase as long as your model belongs to the series mentioned above.
- OEM Part Numbers: Internal Oil Filter 0800-011300-0004, O-Ring 0800-014003, fully corresponds with CFMoto official parts system.
- High Efficiency Filtration: Internal filter element uses high-quality filter media for effective removal of contaminants and wear particles from oil.
- Reliable Sealing: O-ring made of oil-resistant rubber with precise dimensions ensures leak-proof filter cap sealing.
- Internal Type Design: Filter element installs inside the filter cap — replacement only requires opening the filter cap, no need to remove the entire filter housing.
- Maintenance Set: One purchase includes both essential components (filter element + seal ring) for oil change service, convenient and cost-effective.
Follow these steps to properly install the internal oil filter element and filter cap O-ring for optimal filtration and engine protection.
🔧 Pre-Installation Preparation
- Ensure the vehicle is turned off and cooled down; the engine should be at room temperature.
- Prepare the appropriate wrench (for removing the filter cap), an oil catch pan, clean cloth, and fresh engine oil.
- Inspect the new internal filter element and O-ring for any damage or deformation.
🔄 Removing the Old Internal Filter Element
- Locate the oil filter cap (usually on the engine side, a cover secured with multiple bolts).
- Place the oil catch pan beneath the filter cap to collect any residual oil.
- Using the appropriate wrench, loosen the filter cap bolts in a diagonal pattern and carefully remove the cap.
- Remove the old internal filter element from inside the cap, noting its condition (clogged, deformed, etc.).
- Remove the old O-ring from the cap's sealing groove, then thoroughly clean the groove and mounting surfaces to ensure no residue remains.
🧽 Installing the New O-Ring
- Apply a thin, even coat of clean engine oil to the new O-ring (this aids installation and prevents initial dry run).
- Carefully place the O-ring into the filter cap's sealing groove, ensuring it is fully seated without twists or kinks.
- Gently press the O-ring around the groove to confirm it sits flat and even, with no raised or depressed spots.
🔩 Installing the New Internal Filter Element
- Align the new internal filter element (part number 0800-011300-0004) with the mounting position inside the filter cap.
- Push the element into the mounting seat in the correct orientation, ensuring it is fully seated and flush with the mounting surface.
- Note the installation direction (there are usually locating marks or anti-error features) — ensure the inlet/outlet ports are correctly aligned.
- Align the filter cap with the mounting position and push it in carefully, taking care not to dislodge or pinch the O-ring.
- Tighten the filter cap bolts in a diagonal pattern to the torque specified in the service manual (do not over-tighten).
✅ Post-Installation Check
- Add fresh engine oil to the recommended level.
- Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes; check for any oil leaks around the filter cap.
- Turn off the engine and wait 1-2 minutes, then check the oil level and top up if necessary.
- It is recommended to note the installation date and mileage for future maintenance reference.
💡 Maintenance Tip
It is recommended to replace the engine oil and internal oil filter element every 2,000–3,000 km or every 6 months (whichever comes first). In severe operating conditions (dusty, heavy loads), shorten the replacement interval. Always replace both the internal filter element and filter cap O-ring with every oil change to ensure optimal sealing and filtration performance.
