CG Rotor Assembly · 4 Pole
⚡ Magneto Rotor · Flywheel · CG125/CG150 Engine · Internal Rotor Ignition
For CG125 · CG150 4-Stroke Engines · Internal Rotor Ignition System
This is the CG Rotor Assembly (4 Pole), a replacement rotor for CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engine internal rotor ignition systems. Specifically designed for CG series engines, this rotor is suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, and various other vehicles.
The rotor (magneto flywheel) is a core component of the engine's ignition and charging system, containing permanent magnets that work with the stator coils to generate electrical energy. Rotor condition directly affects ignition timing and charging performance. Weak magnetization can cause faulty running, and damaged rotors can cause severe engine damage and noise.
✨ Core Functions: Generate rotating magnetic field · Work with stator to produce electricity · Provide ignition trigger signal · Balance crankshaft rotation
⚠️ Important: Rotor Failure Risks
Weak magnetization can cause unstable ignition signals, insufficient charging, and faulty engine running.
Damaged rotors (such as loose or cracked magnets, or rotor deformation) may cause severe engine damage and abnormal noise, and can even lead to stator coil damage from contact. Replace the rotor immediately if any issues are detected.
📌 Internal Rotor Ignition
CG series engines use internal rotor ignition design, where the rotor is mounted inside the crankshaft, working with the stator to generate electricity. This design offers compact construction and high reliability, standard for classic CG125 and CG150 engines.
📌 4-Pole Configuration
The 4-pole rotor contains 4 permanent magnets that work with the 4-pole stator, providing stable trigger signals for the CDI ignition system while supplying power for the charging system.

💨 Common Symptoms
• Hard starting or no start
• Unstable ignition, intermittent spark
• Insufficient charging, battery frequently discharges
• Faulty engine running, poor acceleration
• Unusual engine noise (loose rotor or detached magnets)
• Weak magnetization causing ignition timing drift
🔍 Possible Causes
• Magnet strength degradation over time
• Loose or detached magnets
• Deformed or cracked rotor body
• Loose center nut causing rotor wobble
• Worn locating key causing timing shift
🔍 Quick Test Method: Check rotor magnet strength (test with a metal tool), inspect for cracks or deformation, and check for loose magnets. Replace the rotor assembly immediately if any issues are found.
This rotor fits vehicles equipped with CG125 and CG150 internal rotor ignition systems, including but not limited to:
💡 Compatibility Note: This rotor is specifically designed for CG125 and CG150 internal rotor ignition systems with 4-pole stator configuration. Before installation, verify your original ignition system type (internal/external rotor) and rotor specifications.
- High-Performance Magnets: Premium permanent magnet material for strong, stable magnetic field, ensuring accurate ignition signals and sufficient charging.
- Precision-Machined Rotor Body: Precision-machined and dynamically balanced for smooth operation and reduced engine vibration.
- Standard Trigger Boss: Precisely positioned trigger boss ensures ignition timing meets OEM specifications.
- High-Quality Steel: Rotor body manufactured from high-strength steel for durability and impact resistance.
- OEM Specification: Manufactured to exact CG series engine factory specifications for a perfect replacement of damaged original rotors.
- Prevents Severe Damage: Timely replacement of faulty rotors prevents severe engine damage such as stator contact damage and abnormal noise caused by rotor failure.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
2. Remove the left side magneto cover (stator cover).
3. Use a dedicated flywheel puller tool to remove the old rotor — follow proper procedure to avoid damaging the crankshaft.
4. Clean the crankshaft taper surface, removing all oil and contaminants.
5. Inspect the crankshaft locating key for wear; replace if necessary.
6. Align the new rotor with the locating key and push it onto the crankshaft taper, ensuring proper seating.
7. Install the rotor center nut and tighten to specified torque (typically 40-60 N·m).
8. Check the clearance between the rotor and stator to ensure no contact.
9. Reinstall the magneto cover, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to test ignition and charging systems.
Important Note: Use specialized tools for rotor installation — never strike the rotor body. Tighten the center nut to the specified torque; a loose rotor can cause severe engine damage. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Spec Confirmation: Before purchasing, verify your engine model and ignition system type (internal rotor ignition) to ensure compatibility.
Failure Risks: Weak magnetization can cause faulty engine running; damaged rotors can cause severe engine damage and abnormal noise. Replace the rotor immediately if any issues are detected.
Installation Caution: Rotor installation involves critical engine components. Use specialized tools and tighten the center nut to the specified torque. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
